People see your business in a lot of places: your sign, your truck, your Facebook page, your website, a booth at a downtown event. When those all look different, you're harder to remember. I start by working out who you want to reach and what you want them to think of you. Then I design the logo, colours, fonts and templates so you look like the same business everywhere.

Storefront or supplier, the job is different

A shop on Front Street needs a look that reads from across the street and works on a window, a sign and an Instagram post. A manufacturer selling to other companies needs to look trustworthy in a proposal, at a trade show and on LinkedIn. I figure out which job your brand has to do first, then design for it.

Downtown grants that can help

If you're in the Downtown Improvement Area, the City's revitalization program includes a rebate covering up to $3,500 of design fees for façade work, and a signage grant of up to half the cost, to a maximum of $4,000. Both come with conditions, including a meeting with City planning staff before you apply, and funding changes, so check with the City first. I can design to the City's rules. I don't run the grants or guarantee approval.

The city is updating its look too

The City of Belleville's economic development plan says a changing population and economy have affected how the city markets itself. Its 2026 priorities include the Discover Belleville brand and new wayfinding signs. If the city is freshening up how it looks, it's a good moment to make sure your business stands out clearly on its own.

What this looked like for Build Up

Build Up was a new entrepreneurship program with no name and no look yet. Research shaped both, then a launch campaign got it in front of people. Applications for the fall 2025 intake came in 25% higher than the cycle before. See the Build Up case study →

Based in Kingston, I work with Belleville businesses remotely: no local office, no handoffs, the same person for strategy through delivery.

Questions

Are there local grants for signage or storefront design?
Yes, if you're in the Downtown Improvement Area: up to $3,500 toward façade design fees, and up to half the cost of new signage, to a maximum of $4,000. You need to meet the City's design rules and talk to City planning staff before you apply. Funding changes, so confirm with the City first.
Do I need a full rebrand or just a new logo?
It depends on what isn't working. Maybe you're attracting the wrong customers, people aren't sure what you offer, your look doesn't match your prices, or nothing matches from sign to website. I figure that out first, then we decide whether it's a logo refresh or something bigger.
How does my brand fit next to Discover Belleville or Bay of Quinte branding?
Those brands promote the area. Yours promotes your business. A good brand sits comfortably next to them on event signs or partner listings without copying them.
Do you need to be in Belleville to design our brand?
No. I'm in Kingston, about an hour east on the 401. We meet by video and phone, and you work with the same person from the first conversation to the final files.
How much does brand design cost?
A logo refresh starts at $600 plus HST, and a full identity with colours, fonts and a style guide starts at $1,500. Both are fixed prices with 3 concepts and a round of revisions. Signs, print and digital pieces are quoted separately.
