Accessibility Statement
I build this site to WCAG 2.2 AA, the current version of the accessibility standard. Here's what that means in practice, what I've tested, and what I haven't yet.
How it's built
- Real semantic HTML: page landmarks, one H1 per page, headings in order, real buttons and links.
- A skip link at the top of every page jumps past the navigation.
- Every link and button shows a visible outline when you reach it with a keyboard.
- No accessibility overlay or widget. Everything is in the site itself, and you can inspect the code to check.
Last tested: October 14, 2026
- Ran an automated scan (axe-core 4.10.2) on all 45 public pages, at desktop and phone widths, against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA rules.
- It found two colour contrast failures: a small label at the top of three pages, and one project name on the Work page. Both are fixed, and a re-scan came back clean.
Not done yet
- An automated scan only catches part of the problem. The full site hasn't been tested with a screen reader yet, and no outside auditor has reviewed it. This page gets a new date each time the site is tested.
